Royal Family News: Prince Harry And Meghan Markle “Donated” To Their Neighborhood

British royal family news shows that despite being virtual ghosts in their Montecito neighborhood, Harry and Meghan reportedly forked over some cash to fund a block party parade. The local rag, the Montecito Journal, reported that the two gave (they didn’t say generously) to the first ever Annual Montecito Holiday Car Parade, which took place this week.

Royal Family News – The Markle’s Donated To The Neighbors

According to the Daily Mail, the thirsty pair supported the millionaire’s enclave by joining, “a select few donors in supporting the festive car procession.”

Fun pics show the neighbors jaunting around corners and down roadways in cars brightly decorated for the holidays–Harry and Meghan were no-shows. Logistics probably got in the way. This week Markle actually shopped for a few minutes in Montecito but was flanked by security and a driver. How awkward it would have been to explain to the neighbors that 1. They don’t actually drive their own cars, and 2. They’re just too big to gather in the streets with commoners.

The couple moved into the neighborhood with their son Archie and their daughter Lilibet was born in June.

The local paper wrote, “As the merriment still lingers in the air, here’s to a new Montecito holiday tradition! Thanks to the many parade sponsors including Prince Harry and Meghan Markle who were first to donate.” But were also the first not to participate.

The Markle’s Did Not Participate With Their Neighbors

What a shame the Markle’s are too busy to rub elbows with their fellow Montecito-ites. Meghan perhaps could use a few friends seeing as how the famous names seem to have deserted her following a series of badly calculated PR moves meant to endear her to the world. Instead the world laughs but Meghan didn’t mean her reaching gestures to be funny. After she cold called US congresspeople begging for influence, one said they would rather hear from their own constituents. Ouch.

After her March Oprah interview she gained the nickname Princess Pinocchio and her recent Ellen Show appearance went down like spoiled mayonnaise at a 4th of July picnic. Maybe it is best after all to stay indoors, less chance of offending the neighbors.
