Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently learned that King Charles had decided to evict them from Frogmore Cottage. But the Duke and Duchess of Sussex don’t plan to deal with the situation without a reimbursement. And the couple expects a $2.8 million refund for revamping the cottage.
Learn what an expert revealed about this situation. And discover why some prefer the term “vacate” to “eviction.” Get all the royal details below.
Prince Harry, Meghan Markle – ‘Where’s Our Refund’?
For those who claim that they can’t relate to Meghan Markle or Prince Harry, your time to understand their royal plight may have arrived. Because if you ever tried to get a landlord to refund a security deposit or reimburse you for renovations, Meghan and Harry now must go through a parallel situation. However, their expected reimbursement consists of millions. And the landlord in question represents King Charles.
Because the Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent $2.8 million on revamping Frogmore Cottage, they anticipate a complete refund, claims an expert. The analysis comes after news spread that King Charles evicted his son and daughter-in-law from what they viewed as their property. And though the couple reportedly felt shocked, they do expect money back promptly, according to the NY Post.
“I am sure that will be something the bean counters at Buckingham Palace would have factored,” commented Sunday Times royal editor Roya Nikkhah in an interview with True Royalty TV. And the royal expert opined that Charles would not request the eviction without awareness of the situation. “I don’t think Buckingham Palace would give them notice, evict them and not be mindful of the fact there is a certain period left to run on the lease.”
King Charles ‘- Doesn’t Care’ About PR Factor In Eviction
However, don’t look for an attempt from the palace to smooth over the shock factor, claims Nikkah. And the royal expert feels it comes down to expectations. “Harry and Meghan renewed the lease last year, and I am sure they will be looking to get that money back,” added Nikkah.
“I do not think that will be a problem,” noted the royal expert. “It’s more about the optics.” And now that King Charles made his decision, he has moved on. But though the King may not care, others keep trying to figure out what happened and why.
And insiders claim that King Charles actually asked Meghan and Harry to “vacate” the property rather than issuing a formal eviction notice. But though that request sounds more polite, it still represents an order from the palace. And it leaves the couple “stunned.” However, shock will not stop the two from “looking for a hefty refund to hit their accounts,” according to experts.

I’m guessing those two are finding it difficult affording the glamorous high life they’ve become accustomed to having. The dramas will continue because Meghan is spiteful. She wants to “matter” on a global scale, hence her self-indulgent podcasts, her tough life dealing with racism and the royal family (please, she doesn’t even look black for starters..,), the “curtsy” interview coming across as poor little struggling pauper girl and prince charming. It goes on and on. Harry is a big-ass baby with no class. You can put a tuxedo on a goat, it’s still a goat. If I was his brother I would try and beat some sense into him too!! Harry needed to be “saved by Meghan”. She comes across as Superman and Harry comes across as Lois Lane in that scenario. They will turn everything, good or bad, into some slight against themselves and turn it into their next crusade, repeating old behavior.
