Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s Christmas Plans Do Not Include Each Other?

British royal family news divulges that Harry, the Duke of Sussex plans to celebrate the season with a UK charity that holds a special place in his heart.

Hello! reports that Prince Harry will take part in a Christmas party with Scotty’s Little Soldiers, a charity that supports bereaved military children.

No silly, he won’t actually do the work it takes to be with the kids in person, he’s taking the easy way out and will dial in from his home in Montecito, California. It’s presumed that Harry will talk to the “families and children in the coming weeks.”

Prince Harry Careful Not to Overextend Himself

Harry became affiliated with the group in 2023 and this year “he made a surprise visit to one of their events, as he flew back to the UK to attend the tenth anniversary of the Invictus Games.” His own little soldiers, Archie and Lilibet were not with him, nor was his wife Meghan Markle.

In 2010 Nikki Scott launched Scotty’s Little Soldiers after the death of her husband who was deployed in Afghanistan. The group aims to support bereaved military children and young children.

Harry’s involvement with the group goes back to 2017 and in 2022 he dressed up as Spider-Man “to record a special video message for their 2022 Christmas party.”

Scotty’s Little Soldiers was one of seven organisations that received donations given for the couple’s wedding ceremony in 2018.

Harry and Meghan have not observed Christmas in the UK since 2018, and at that time she was pregnant with their first child, Prince Archie.

A year later they spent the holiday in Canada and weeks later stunned the globe with an unprecedented decision to walk away from royal duties as senior royals.

In 2020 the couple made their infamous Megxit move, leaving the UK for North America. They currently live in Montecito, California with their son Archie and daughter Lilibet.

Royal Family News – Meghan Loves Being a Mom At Christmas

Meghan told Marie Claire that she loves being with her two kids during the holidays. She said that on Thanksgiving “We’re always making sure we have something fun to do. Like any other family you spend time having a great meal and then what do you do? Play games, all the same stuff, someone brings a guitar – fun.”

For Christmas in the Markle homestead Archie and Lilibet “experience the magic of traditions like great recipes that they end up connecting to a formative memory … and putting out carrots for the reindeer.”
