Ironically podcaster Joe Rogan actually fulfills his work contract while Harry and Meghan have produced nothing for Spotify, and yet complain.
Royal Family News – Why Haven’t Harry And Meghan Gone To Work?
Now some are asking not only why the Duke and Duchess of Sussex haven’t made good on their $25 million deal with Spotify but also why they don’t take the opportunity to put their mouth where their money is. The thirsty pair issued a statement about Rogan’s “dangerous” COVID and vaccine information but in reality they could get off their high horse and counter with some paid-for information of their own.
According to Silicon Valley, “Harry and Meghan haven’t, however, for reasons that remain mysterious.” Vanity Fair writer Joe Pompeo verified on Tuesday that the couple “currently don’t have anything else in development with Spotify.” Furthermore “Vanity Fair confirmed reports last week indicating that Spotify was concerned about their lack of output. The reports said that Spotify was trying to get something in development with the couple by advertising for a team of three producers to work on a show with their Archewell Audio production company.”
Royal Family News – Are Meghan And Harry Work Shy?
Maybe it’s a classic case of rules for everybody else? PR experts, “told Newsweek that Harry and Meghan better start producing for both Spotify and Netflix, and soon.” In addition to Spotify, Netflix also took it on good faith that the Markle’s would honor their work contract. Last week both business giants signaled their impatience with the work-shy pair by actually advertising for employees to work on the programs the Sussexes were signed up for. Shameful.
Royal Family News – Why Don’t Meghan And Harry Work?
In 2020 these two signed a multimillion-dollar deal with Netflix to make documentaries and other life changing content. As the streamer and Spotify now realize, throwing millions of production dollars at a pair of work-shy individuals who have zero production experience and apparently even less motivation to work, is not a good idea.
To date, Netflix is still waiting for Harry’s “Heart of Invictus” series and “Pearl” Meghan’s idea for an animated series. “It’s vitally important for Harry and Meghan to deliver here, not just due to the eye-watering contracts that they managed to negotiate, but also as a signal to other potential companies that they can be relied upon to execute on their promises, offer value for money and bring return on investment,” Anthony Burr, of Burr media, told Newsweek. In this case it’s a little like trying to saddle the horse once it’s out of the gate?
