British royal family news shows that the late Diana likely never imagined a day in which her two children, Prince Harry and Prince William, would feud in public for what is now going on four years.

According to InStyle the last time the brothers saw each other in person was at their father King Charles’ coronation in May 2023. It was widely reported that Harry left the event early, stayed in the UK roughly 24 hours, and had to find himself a hotel room for the night.

Underscoring that point, one royal expert claims that the brothers’ mutual friends have largely chosen to side with the actual royal, William. Here’s what to know about Harry’s epic downfall.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl said on the Vanity Fair podcast Dynasty: The Royal Family’s Most Challenging Year, that Hugh Grosvenor, the Duke of Westminster’s, summer wedding highlighted the way that the Ginger Judas has been exiled.

She said “I think if you look back to that recent society wedding of the Duke of Westminster, it was William who got the invite to that, and Harry was invited because they’ve been friends forever and a day, but he was basically asked to stand down from that wedding because it would have been very awkward to have had the two brothers at a society wedding like that, together.”

This exclusion was not a onetime thing according to the pundit: “I remember being told by someone at the Palace there was this sense that you had to put your stake in one camp or the other.”

She added that Harry and Meghan’s circle of friends has dried up: “I think the ties have been severed. I think there is a sense that, possibly, friends, close friends, society friends, celebrity friends have sort of had to make a little bit of a choice.”

Royal Family News – Meghan And Harry Couch Surfed At Tyler Perry’s House

Meghan has not been seen much in the UK, and the last time she was, she was booed. Last weekend a picture of her surfaced at the G9 Summer Summit in the Hamptons. Harry was left at home with the kids.

According to Tom Quinn, author of Gilded Youth: An Intimate History of Growing Up in the Royal Family, concurs with Nicholl, stating that Harry “misses his Old Etonian [college] and army friends, many of whom have not visited as they don’t get on with Meghan.”
