Prince Harry & Meghan’s UK Return Rocks Prince William & King Charles – £5 Million Security Showdown Looms

If Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s UK return news has filled you with surprise, then I guess it must have felt like a full-blown gut punch to the Wales family.

Even for King Charles to some degree, because, even though they met him in July and went school-haunting for their children that same month, Harry and Meghan merely informed the King three days before the news was made public.

So now they’re reportedly convening at Balmoral Castle to talk over what the Sussexes’ latest move could mean for the stability of the Royal Family.

King Charles and Prince William Will Reportedly Discuss the Issue of the Sussex Couple’s Security

Prince Harry and Meghan’s decision to move back to the island nation they fled from just six years ago stands to currently defy all they’ve been telling us so far.

On Meghan’s part, she told us she couldn’t possibly see herself returning to live in the UK. On Harry’s side, he told us he doesn’t see a world where he would be returning with his wife and children if they aren’t granted 24/7 taxpayer-funded police protection.

Well, they don’t have it, at least not yet, and here they are planning their return. This particular situation will reportedly cause a headache for both King Charles and his heir Prince William.

On Tuesday, King Charles was pictured traveling to Balmoral Castle, with the Prince and Princess of Wales also seen traveling there accompanied by a number of security vehicles. Queen Camilla is understood to also be in residence.

Amongst the issues they will discuss at Balmoral, GB News predicts that William and Charles will reportedly go over who would fund Harry and his family’s security, while they tarry in the UK.

According to reports, the couple plan to stay at a non-royal property outside London. If the couple plan to stay up to a year, their security cost for that duration has been calculated to come out at around £3million to £5million.

Whilst Prime Minister Andy Burnham declined to comment on the news on the basis that the issue is a “private matter,” some argue that it is a public one if the couple’s security costs will be heaved on taxpayers.

Since a larger number of people viewed Harry and Meghan’s planned return unfavorably, a former cabinet minister has warned that public would struggle to accept the cost. He also accused Harry of displaying “flagrant entitlement” with his return plans.
