Irony aside, if King Charles does honor the invite, it will not only show the great friendship currently enjoyed by the two nations, but will draw the added layer of historical intrigue as well.
But, as long as Prince Harry sees America as his territory, there will always be speculations he may pull a move to try to overshadow his father’s involvement in the momentous occasion.

Even though Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have moved on from publicly bashing the Royal Family, many still believe they time their events around the Royal Family’s calendar to either generate buzz through it, or even to diminish the impact of the Royal Family’s.
These assumptions are not completely baseless, as there have been records of the Sussexes timing things to match up with major royal events. Next year won’t be any different, or so says a royal biographer.
“While some close to the palace quietly suggest the Sussexes could travel east for a discreet meeting in Washington, their presence would dominate headlines, eclipsing the state visit,” Robert Jobson said.

These claims are yet to be commented on by either Kensington Palace or Buckingham Palace.
However, if the King does honor Trump’s invite, he and Queen Camilla will likely arrive sometime on July 1 to take place in a number of engagements that could possibly span the whole of four days. The visit will also mark Charles’ first visit to the country since he acceded the throne.
Prior to becoming King, Charles visited the country more than 20 times.
Even though King Charles and Prince Harry met face-to-face for the first time in as many months this September, insiders claim the barely an hour meeting was not enough to thaw the ice that had been building over the years.
So it’s possible that even if Charles does fly to the US, he may not spare the time to visit Harry’s Montecito home, which he’s never stepped foot in since Harry purchased the property in 2020.
