According to People Magazine, Harry will be visiting the Hague to help mark to launch a countdown to the next Invictus Games. The Hague will be hosting the games in 2020, which helps bring athletes together from all over the world to participate in the multi-sport event. Both injured or sick armed services personnel and their veterans take part in sports that include wheelchair basketball, sitting volleyball and indoor rowing.
“While in The Netherlands, The Duke of Sussex will undertake an official engagement in Amsterdam,” the palace statement said. “His Royal Highness will then travel to The Hague to officially launch the one year countdown to the Invictus Games The Hague 2020.”
With that being said, a lot of people can’t help but wonder what that means for Meghan Markle and her baby. Clearly, Prince Harry wouldn’t travel overseas if Meghan is still pregnant and expecting their baby as he would want to be there for the baby’s birth. However, another palace source says that Meghan hasn’t given birth yet and that if she does give birth before or during Prince Harry’s scheduled trip, the royal dad-to-be will cancel his plans.
Rebecca English from the Daily Mail says that there’s a strong possibility that Harry will cancel the trip as he will want to be with his wife and their newborn baby. So far Kensington Palace hasn’t made any additional comments about Harry’s travel plans, although a lot of critics can’t help but think that the announcement could have been postponed until after the baby’s arrival. Either way, it’s a very exciting (and nerve-racking) time for both Meghan and Harry right now!
