Prince Harry, Prince William, And New Tensions Brought On by Finding Freedom

By now, almost everyone has heard about the tensions the Duke of Sussex has experienced with his elder brother, Prince William. Things between the formerly inseparable pair began a downward spiral after Prince Harry met and began dating the American actress, Meghan Markle. Apparently, according to insiders, Prince Harry felt that Prince William was being a snob and condescending when he told Prince Harry, “Don’t feel you need to rush this. Take as much time as you need to get to know this girl.”

Of course, many watchers of the British Royal family have noted that on many occasions, and as things have played out since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex left the U.K., Meghan Markle’s overall behavior might give credence to Prince William’s evident concern. That said, insiders have suggested that things might be on the mend between Prince Harry and Prince William.

However, others now report that with the publication of a long-awaited bombshell, “tell-all” book on August 4, 2020 tensions have flared between the Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry all over again.

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Were “Calculated”

Many agree that trouble seems inevitable between Prince William and Prince Harry considering the fact that the above-mentioned book, entitled “Finding Freedom” and co-authored by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand paints Prince William in a negative light. Indeed, senior Royals are apparently aghast at the fact that almost everyone in the British Family is castigated while Prince Harry and Meghan are made to look like romantic rebels who were sadly victims of “the status quo.”

Indeed, it’s believed that Prince William feels “Finding Freedom” is merely a propaganda piece, which Prince Harry and Meghan Markle backed without publicly saying so. As an insider remarked to a U.S. based publication, “William thinks the book is their calculated way of controlling the narrative and that they took advantage of their entertainment contacts so they’d be painted in a favorable light.”

Prince Harry Warned Meghan Markle Early On

The bottom line is that the book seems to portray a Meghan Markle that was overwhelmed with the realities of life within Buckingham Palace. Things weren’t Meghan’s cup of tea even though Prince Harry reportedly warned her just how crazy life as a Royal can evidently be. (At least, from Prince Harry’s perspective.) As well, Prince Harry himself wanted out of the role set for him as he didn’t enjoy being the third wheel to all of the engagements he had to attend along with Prince William and Kate Middleton.

In light of their dissatisfaction, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle believed the way to ‘finding freedom” for them both was to step down as senior members of The Firm. Of course, the entire world knows now that Prince Harry and Meghan left the monarchy ostensibly to work on gaining financial independence, privacy, and a life of normalcy.

Whether Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have found any of those things, and whether they will ultimately make real peace with their royal family members, are all questions that currently remain unanswered.
