During Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Oprah tell-all interview, Harry recalled a time when his father stopped picking his calls. He also said, to Oprah’s amazement, that his father stopped funding him after he moved to North America with his family.

These tales are now being backed up by a new book written by renowned biographer Robert Jobson, and it shows the desperateness and the tension that might have inspired Harry to go down the road of trashing his family for a bit of cash.
Prince Harry’s Grievances “Worried” the Queen
In his latest biography “Our King: Charles III,” Jobson claimed that Charles stopped picking Harry’s calls when his son’s increasing demand for money started to weary him out.
Even though the book said Harry tried his best to remain close to the Queen and even phoned her regularly from California, he “troubled the Queen when he kept trying to air his grievances.”
The Queen, wishing not to be caught in the middle of a row between a father and his son, asked Harry to discuss his problems with his father directly.

A source told Jobson: “Her Majesty found Prince Harry’s calls quite difficult and wearisome. She didn’t want to interfere in the father/son relationship and would urge him to speak to his father.”
The phone calls between Charles and Harry at the time were said to be mostly intense, with Harry always rudely demanding for more money. Whenever his father didn’t respond to him in the way that he liked, he would often resort to swearing at him.
“Prince Charles simply stopped taking Harry’s calls after his son swore at him and repeatedly asked for funds,” according to Jobson. “When the Queen asked Charles why he hadn’t given in, he told her that he wasn’t a bank.”
Even after all this, the book says Charles continues to have “enduring love” for his son and his family, adding that the monarch reportedly opposed plans to strip Harry and Meghan of their titles.
