The Duke of Sussex has been told to stop spending money on his court cases. In fact, one report suggests Prince Harry could dissipate his fortune after he had suffered another big blow in court. 

As many royal fans are probably aware of already, Prince Harry is suing the News Group Newspapers for hacking. He claims that he was unlawfully targeted by journalists and that his phone was hacked multiple times so reporters could gain access to his personal life for tabloid stories.

But royal commentator Michael Cole says that Prince Harry might soon run out of money if he continues his legal fight, which at the moment really isn’t going anywhere.

In an interview with GB News, Cole said, “It’s an extremely expensive process. Particularly when you’re paying your own costs, as Prince Harry is now. The prince of litigation has been back in the lists today, he’s got several cases going. It’s hard to keep up sometimes but he’s taking on the red top tabloids and the middle market tabloids and he wants to win the day.”

Cole continued, “Whether he is wise to do that I’m not sure. You can burn through a lot of money very, very quickly. Reports say that he and his wife are worth $500 million. Whether that’s true or not, it seems a very high figure to me. You can very, very quickly dissipate your fortune by investing too much in the law.”

So far Prince Harry himself has made no comments about the criticism that he’s received.
