Prince Harry Totally Dissed The Royal Family During Invictus Games Closing Ceremony Speech

It looks like that bad blood is still there. It seems like Prince Harry couldn’t help but shade the royal family during his speech at the closing ceremony of this year’s Invictus Games.

Apparently, he still feels rather upset over the fact that the royals did not allow him to wear his military uniform at Queen Elizabeth’s funeral or at King Charles’ coronation back in May. Here’s what you need to know.

Because Prince Harry decided to step down from his position as a working member of the royal family, he lost his privilege to wear his military uniform in public. The Duke of Sussex made it no secret that he’s still bothered by the matter, too.

During his speech in Dusseldorf, Prince Harry said, “A week ago I stood here and told you about the significance of being able to wear your nation’s flag again. So many of you have told me that hit you right here. For many of you the uniform you’ve been wearing this past week will give you a new story to tell.”

Harry continued, “And for others, it may give your old uniform new meaning. But I’m here to remind you that after all of this, you don’t need to rely on a uniform, nor should you feel lost without one. Because everything you need is already within you.”

Royal Family News: Harry Shades His Family

There’s no doubt that the royals are certainly going to feel that sting when they hear about Harry’s speech. But then again, it doesn’t seem like Harry really is bothered by it, either.

Before he arrived in Germany, the royal was in the UK for just a few short days but didn’t get to see any of his royal family members.

That’s because King Charles was still in Scotland during Harry’s London trip while Prince William was 100 miles away in Wales. No one really made an effort to reach out to see or even speak to Harry for that matter.
