Prince Harry Uses Princess Diana’s Birthday As Opportunity To Apologize & Appear More Progressive Than other Royals

Prince Harry has done it this time. Some Royal experts believe that Prince Harry has become entirely too preachy concerning political issues. Some believe that’s actually one of the reasons Prince Harry chose to step down from his role with The Firm. After all, it’s a well-known fact that British Royals are traditionally non-partisan. As a supposedly “free man,” Prince Harry may believe he has the right to opine on whatever pet political issue strikes his fancy.

Regardless, Prince Harry chose to talk about “endemic racism” and to apologize for it when he presented the “Princess Diana Award’ via video call to “young people committed to change.” Harry wasn’t the only famous person to participate in the event, but he was one of the few with a very political message. Prince Harry is reported to have told his audience that, “My wife said recently that our generation and the ones before us haven’t done enough to wipe the wrongs of the past. I too am sorry. Sorry that we haven’t got the world to the place where you deserve it to be. Institutional racism has no place in our societies, yet it is still endemic.”

Of course, a few things Prince Harry and Meghan Markle failed to tell their young audience as he lectured them on his mother’s birthday, is the fact that people have hated others who are not like them since the beginning of recorded history. That’s an awfully long time. To be sure, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s sentiments are admirable, but the truth is that many believe there is no way to stamp out endemic racism completely. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appear to believe that it’s an issue that can be solved through political action when in reality people don’t stop hating people unless there is a change of heart.

Regardless, there are those who feel that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle both are simply using the issue of racism to boost their own public profiles. Since Prince Harry and Meghan have been forbidden to use many of their former connections as members of the British Royal family, and since they cannot use the word “Royal” as part of their branding efforts, some believe the two have simply latched onto a popular, trending topic.

Indeed, some believe that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have jumped on the Black Lives Matter and social justice wagon out of personal ambition rather than through any real conviction of their own. Because it’s possible that both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have an exaggerated sense of self-importance, self-entitlement, and a need for constant attention they had to get out from under the “stifling” conditions imposed upon them by Buckingham Palace.

While complaining about their need to protect their family and their desire to get out of the limelight, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle did a complete about-face once “Megxit” was complete. The two have now signed with the New York-based Harry Walker agency, where they will command $1 Million each for every speaking engagement they take on. Prince Harry and Meghan’s topics will apparently be all political, all the time. With Harry talking up racism on his mom’s birthday, it’s clear that the Sussex family will take any opportunity at all to push their message … and their faces … straight back into the center of everyone’s attention.
