Prince Harry might have waged an attack on the British press, but is he about to create an even bigger mess than he already has with the media? That’s what some royal experts are wondering this week as new reports suggest that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s legal action against one publication might start a new vicious war with the media. Here’s what you need to know.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle: The Sussexes Mocked And Bullied By The Press
Some royal commenters believe that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s new power move won’t shut up their media bullies. Instead, it will just create an even more hostile environment in the press. After Prince Harry posted a scathing attack on the media for the way they have mocked and belittled Meghan Markle at every opportunity, the former Hollywood actress has announced that she is taking legal action against The Mail on Sunday. There’s now some worry that the fallout might come too soon.
Over the weekend, Prince Harry wrote an open letter to the public and the press and published it on the couple’s official Sussex Royal site. In his post, he said that the media has been attacking his wife Meghan Markle in the same way they once attacked his mother Princess Diana, who passed away back in 1997.
The Sussexes are attacking The Mail on Sunday mostly because they published an embarrassing but very private letter that Meghan Markle wrote to her father Thomas Markle Senior following their wedding back in 2018. In the letter Meghan told her father that he was “breaking her heart into a million pieces” each and every time he aired out their family’s dirty laundry to the press.

Prince Harry Warned Against Responding To Media Bullies – Fallout Too Soon?
Of course, this isn’t the first time that the British royal family has taken legal action against the press. Kate Middleton was left humiliated when topless photos of her first appeared in the French version of Closer Magazine back in 2012. This prompted Prince William and Kate Middleton to take legal action against several publications for posting the photos, which were taken during the Cambridge’s vacation at a private estate in the South of France.
So far Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made no additional comments about their case.
Until then, royals fans will just have to wait and see what will happen next! In the meantime, keep up with Celebrating the Soaps for all the latest news right here!
