In his book, ‘Revenge: Meghan, Harry, and the War Between the Windsors,’ Tom Bower claimed that Meghan Markle wanted nothing more than to fill Diana’s shoes, and when she got disapproval from those closest to said late Princess, her husband Prince Harry was not in the least bit impressed.
Princess Diana’s Sisters Didn’t Spot Similarities Between American Actress Meghan Markle and the Late Princess
Princess Diana is an iconic figure and remains so nearly thirty years after her death, so it’s not unnatural that someone would admire her enough to want to become her.
That said, you might raise your eyebrows though when you learn that the newest person presented to fill her shoes is her own daughter-in-law Meghan Markle.
“Harry assumed that Diana’s family and friends would see a similarity between Diana and his fiancée. Both, he said, shared the same problems.
He was so disappointed,” Bower wrote in the book of Harry, who is also convinced that his mother would have been “over the moon” with his choice of bride.

If Diana would have approved, her sisters Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Lady Jane Fellowes did not.
“No one agreed that his vulnerable mother had anything in common with his girlfriend. More discomforting for him, they thought Meghan would not fit in with the Royal Family.”
What Prince Harry Has Said About Wife Meghan’s Similarities To Mom Princess Diana
Well, whether anybody else sees similarities between Meghan and Diana, Prince Harry is convinced he can see them and doesn’t really need anybody’s validation to believe that there are.
In his 2022 Netflix documentary, ‘Harry and Meghan,’ Harry further stressed on this similarities, saying, “So much of what Meghan is and how she is, is so similar to my mum. She has the same compassion, the same empathy, the same confidence. She has this warmth about her.”

This is coming after news emerged that Prince Harry had been seriously considering changing his family’s last name to Spencer.
A friend of the Prince reportedly revealed that the only reason he didn’t go through with the plan was that his uncle Earl Spencer amicably spoke to him and talked him out of it.
To be honest, I’m not a fan that Earl Spencer deprived the world of Harry Spencer.

Harry was 12 when his mother died. He saw her as a mother. Meghan is not his mother, however, she acts more like a mother to him instead of a wife. And, he acts like a little boy around her. They are both people with mental issues.
