Prince Harry: Will He Help His Alleged Half-Brother Prove Paternity?

As Prince Harry arrives in Australia, the quest of his alleged half-brother for royal recognition continues.

Simon Charles Dorante-Day claims he's the son of King Charles, Half-brother to Prince Harry - 10 news

With Prince Harry touching down in Australia this week, that might make people wonder about the Australian connection to the family in the form of Simon Charles Dorante-Day.

If you don’t know, he’s the guy who tried for years to prove he’s a secret son of Queen Camilla and King Charles. Read on to find out if there have been any updates.

The Original News

About four years ago, This Morning on YouTube covered the claim by Simon that he was adopted. At the time, folks wondered if he’d ever make any headway.

He claimed “that his adoptive grandmother told him the Duchess of Cornwall was his mother back in 1998, and he now believes he has the evidence to prove it.”

Cast your mind back, and you won’t recall the royal family saying anything about it at all. You know how it goes, if it gets ignored, the scandal might go away.

The Harry Connection

Anyway, how does Prince Harry tie into the story? In 2024, while you might have thought that Simon Charles Dorante-Day faded away, it turned out that he still persists in his quest for royal family recognition. Notably though, as the Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor scandal increases anti-monarchy sentiment, it might make some folks wonder why.

In February of 2024, 7 News Australia reported that Simon and his wife hoped that Prince Harry would help with a DNA sample to help him prove his claim of being the son of King Charles.

At the time, he seemed hopeful, saying, “So I’m going to make contact with him and explore this as an opportunity. At the end of the day, I feel like he just might be as keen as I am to expose what Charles and Camilla and the powers that be have done to me.”

While he felt slighted by the manners of The Firm, he seemed so hopeful that he and Harry could bond over rejection. Did that ever happen? Well, if it did, nobody made any public claims about it. And certainly, it seems as if Harry and Meghan won’t step up, at least publicly.

A Security Risk?

While Simon felt ignored, apparently the security team around King Charles didn’t ignore it at all. In fact, the Hindustan Times reported about a year and a half ago that he was placed on a security “watchlist.”

Well, if they are watching, there doesn’t seem to be a lot to see about Prince Harry and William’s alleged half-brother. His last post on Facebook came in early April this year, when he celebrated a birthday.

However he did mention some “appeal documents.”

Recent Updates?

Meanwhile over on his website, the person who wants Prince William and his brother to buy into providing DNA has a sign up saying, “This site is currently being updated and reconstructed. some features may not function but will be available soon!”

However, there is a link to a late 2025 YouTube by 10 News. That report from four months ago notes that the claims about paternity of King Charles haven’t disappeared. In fact, he “made an appearance in a Brisbane court, arguing a news publication defamed him.”

A Long Fight & Everyone Is Aging

Certainly, if the case persists, it might take a long time to get anywhere. King Charles is getting older, and so is Simon Charles Dorante-Day. However, it might be interesting if something dramatic happened.

Imagine if he appeared at Prince Harry’s mental health seminar! He could allegedly get a seat ticket for half-price, after all. While it’s free to dream, probably that won’t happen.
