British Royal Family News says that while it’s certainly not easy leaving the country you were born in behind, it’s definitely not easy seeing everyone from your country turn their backs on you, too.
Prince Harry is being called a pariah in the UK as many British citizens are making it pretty clear that he is not welcomed back home and especially not after all of the things he’s said about his royal family members in his memoir, Spare. Here’s what you need to know.
Royal Family News – Prince Harry Is Now Being Called A Pariah In The UK
Unfortunately, Prince Harry is becoming “increasingly unpopular” in both the UK and the US following his cynical attacks on the royal family. Nile Gardiner, a Washington-based foreign policy expert and Royal Family commentator, puts it this way, “Harry’s book is a desperate and deeply cynical attack on the Royal Family which has clearly backfired in a massive way. The backlash against the book has been absolutely spectacular. Harry is now a pariah in the UK and also increasingly unpopular in the US. He has really shot himself in the foot with his hatchet job memoir. It has been a spectacular own goal for Harry.”
Gardiner also branded Harry and Meghan “the most unpopular couple in the modern history of the British monarchy.”

He continued: “Harry and Meghan will never be welcomed back to the UK and they are now complete pariahs there. They have become the most unpopular couple in the modern history of the British monarchy and it is impossible to see how they can return to the UK, and they have become increasingly unpopular in the US as well. The tremendous backlash to Harry’s memoir in the UK will also cross the Atlantic. Americans are just fed up with the relentless and nasty attacks coming from Meghan and Harry.”
Meanwhile, Spare is selling out in countries all over the world. It sold nearly 64,000 copies in Australia in its first week, breaking a previous record of 45,000 copies sold. The book has now sold 120,000 Down Under. In Germany, is dominating the bestsellers list with German edition Reserve in the #1 spot & two English editions rounding out the top 3. The 100K books sold has it on track to be the best-selling non-fiction book in a decade.
