Prince Harry’s Cameo On Meghan Markle’s Netflix Show Compared To Product Placement

For some people, Prince Harry was just being a supportive husband showing up for his wife’s new venture. For others, well the story reads different. What am I talking about? Prince Harry’s surprise cameo in ‘With Love, Meghan.’

The show will see Meghan Markle reaching into her passion for entertaining and walking fans through what it takes to be a good host. Of course, this means that there’ll be some famous faces popping in at different points – we’re already locked and loaded to see Mindy Kaling.

Royal Expert Claims Netflix Is Using Prince Harry To Sell Meghan Markle’s Show To Fans

According to royal author Hugo Vickers, Prince Harry appearing in Meghan’s cooking show was more than just about a loving husband showing up for his wife.

In Vickers’ point of view, Harry’s cameo was planned to draw in viewers. He told The Sun: “It’s my suspicion is that it is crucial from the point of view of the show that he makes some sort of an appearance.

The reason that we watch these things is because of him, because he’s Prince Harry – and she’s married to Prince Harry. So if you like product placement, there he was, the genuine prince.”

In the lead-up to ‘With Love, Meghan’s’ premiere, the Duchess shared a clip where she could be seen cooking and dancing in the kitchen, whilst preparing delectable dishes.

She’s also seen doing other relatable things, like making shopping lists and taking the dogs for a walk. The couple’s recently deceased dog Beagle Guy also made an appearance in the teaser.

At the end of the clip, we see Meghan and Harry walk out the door holding shopping bags.
Weighing in on this, Vickers opined that he’d always believed Meghan had a reason for marrying Harry, and that the reason couldn’t be clearer now.

“I always thought when she married him that she probably had a little plan,” he added. “He is the reason that she has the identity that she now has. I always thought that she was looking for global fame and she certainly got it.”

As for what Meghan can present to the table that other competing shows cannot, he added: “I do think the one thing that she’s got, which the others don’t have, is Prince Harry.”
