Prince Harry Wants “Accountability” And To Talk Things Through With His Brother
Prince Harry has somewhat always made it clear that he wants to reconcile with his family. Even at the height of ‘Spare,’ his hopes had always been that one day he could talk things through with his brother and they can smooth out every misunderstanding and bad blood.
In 2023, Omid Scobie, who is frequently referred to as “the Sussexes’ mouthpiece,” said: “Harry was still waiting for that moment of accountability from his brother — an opportunity to talk about many of the grievances that have built up to this point and be able to move on from that.”
Three years later, and the story has stayed the same. William has simply refused to yield ground to Harry’s reconciliation moves. Scobie revealed, “The expectations and wants and wishes of Prince Harry are exactly the same as they were then – and none of them have been met.”

Noting that Harry has made “repeated attempts,” Scobie said that William has rejected them all and is “avoiding dealing with this matter whatsoever.”
So basically, “The ball has been in William’s court for some time now, and he’s chosen not just to knock it back, but to kick it in the other direction.”
Omid Scobie Questions Unyielding Prince William’s Future As Monarch
In Scobie’s opinion, William’s unwillingness to mend things with his brother says a lot about the kind of Monarch he’ll one day become.
“As a future king, you would think that one of the things he should be able to navigate easily is family. One day, he’ll be the head of the royal family; he’ll be the head of the Church of England,” Omid noted.

He added: “There’ll be a lot of things that he stands for, or will seemingly stand for. And if he’s unable to mend a fracture, for all the reasons that we know are behind it, with his brother, I think that also says something about him as a future monarch that may not work in his favour.”
