It’s been suggested that Prince Harry may not have known about his father’s surgery before the news was released to the public. This, of course, proves that there’s heightening tensions between the King and his youngest son.

Relationship Expert On Reason King Charles’ Relationship With Harry Could Have Become More Strained

Just a few days ago, we learned that the King intends to have surgery for an enlarged prostate. The condition was said to be benign so there is no risk to the King’s health. The thing is, Prince Harry may have found out about this the same way we did.

Speaking to The Mirror, relationships expert Louella Alderson pointed out the ways King Charles and Harry’s relationship may have grown worse since Harry reportedly called to wish him a happy 75th birthday.

She explained: “If Prince Harry found out about King Charles’ surgery through the media, then it only adds to the likelihood that their relationship is incredibly strained. It could have been a shock for Harry to find out about his father’s health issues through the news rather than a personal call or message from his family.”

She added that it may not come as a surprise to him if they’re already not on speaking terms, “If true, it indicates a lack of communication and closeness within their relationship.”

She then hinted that the reason the King may have not informed him earlier was because he didn’t trust him to not make it public prematurely.

She said: “If there are trust issues between them, then this could also be a reason why Prince Harry was not informed directly about his father’s surgery. It’s possible that King Charles deliberately chose to announce his surgery publicly to avoid any speculation or rumours surrounding his health.”

Alderson, however, believes that their relationship may not be entirely doomed. “The significant disconnect between them doesn’t appear to be improving at the moment. However, times of stress and ill health can bring families closer together, and Prince Harry might find he wants to reach out to his father at a time like this.”

At the moment, no one knows whether Harry had tried to make contact with his father. Since the news was announced, he’s made two public appearances: one to receive a Legends of Aviation Award and another at Jamaica at the premiere of a Bob Marley film.
