Prince Philip Views Prince Harry As A Derelict

Prince Philip is a generation removed from Prince Harry so it should come as no surprise that the former sees the latter through jaundiced eyes. In fact, the honorable, loyal, and second banana Philip is said to have found it quite difficult to stomach the conduct of many of his younger family members.

According to royal author Ingrid Seward he, “has found it hard to understand exactly what it was that made his grandson’s life so unbearable. As far as Philip was concerned, Harry and Meghan had everything going for them: a beautiful home, a healthy son, and a unique opportunity to make a global impact with their charity work.”

And when it is put it that way, it is extremely hard to believe why Harry bellyached as he did, in the end divorcing his family and country in an unseemly public spectacle. This is why much of the country, indeed the world, cannot see Harry and his wife as anything but bratty ingrates who have taken every opportunity to badmouth his family.

Prince Philip Retired From Public Life Three Years Ago At The Age Of 96

Seward has written the forthcoming book, Prince Philip Revealed. In it, she says, “He has struggled greatly, for example, with what he sees as his grandson Harry’s dereliction of duty … giving up his homeland and everything he cared about for a life of a self-centered celebrity in North America.”

Philip is 99-years old and he has been married to Queen Elizabeth for 72 years. In other words, he has seen a thing or two.

Seward goes on to say of Philip, “For a man whose entire existence has been based on a dedication to doing the right thing, it appeared that his grandson had abdicated his responsibilities for the sake of his marriage to an American divorcée in much the same way as Edward VIII gave up his crown to marry Wallis Simpson in 1937.”

But Harry is not alone in the doghouse according to Seward. Perhaps exhibiting even more egregious behavior is Philip’s own son, Prince Andrew.

She writes that his son has become a “global figure of ridicule,” something that would be hard for anyone to argue against. His crime? A shady link to the dead convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

As Seward notes, “For Philip and the Queen, their son’s failure of judgment was a tragedy.” She writes that Andrew stained the monarchy with his actions, behavior he has yet to fully explain.
