That’s because the Prince and Princess of Wales were hoping to meet some royal fans at the Borough Market this past week.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like anyone was very interested in meeting them as there was even one woman calmly eating her lunch nearby and not paying attention to the fact that two members of the monarchy were right next to her.

For a lot of royalists, that is not a good sign at all. That’s because it seems like the royal family is truly losing their popularity as the British public simply don’t care about what they are doing anymore, let alone where they are going or what they are wearing for that matter.

Sure, Prince William and Kate Middleton looked like they were having a conversation with someone very important. But at the same time, the woman who was eating her lunch looked like she could care less that she was sitting so close to the future king of England.

But for Prince William in particular, this is absolutely terrifying. That’s because as the next leader of the monarchy, he knows that a lot of pressure is going to be put on him to make sure that everything stays afloat.

What’s Next For The British Royal Family?

But if he’s already having a hard time getting the attention of the general public, then that means it’s all downhill from here.

Sure, the royals know they’ve got work to do and charities they have to support during their royal engagements, but their popularity is also important, too.

Prince William knows that no one is going to pay attention to their work if they are not even paying attention to them when they are having a simple lunch at the market. If it’s already this bad now, it’s only going to get worse later.
