Prince William and Kate Middleton Use Xmas Card To Send Secret Message

Kate Middleton and Prince William always take time to plan and photograph their annual Christmas card. And for their 2023 holiday greeting, the couple sent a clear message to royal family followers.

Kate Middleton – Sends Message Through Christmas Card

Each year, royal family members plan and then take photos for their annual Christmas cards. And for their 2023 Christmas card, Kate Middleton and Prince William sent a message to their fans, noted People.

Opting for the simplest possible black-and-white setting, the Prince and Princess of Wales dressed their children Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, in matching in white button-down shirts and jeans. And they opted to skip any fancy settings or expensive festive backgrounds. 

As a result, Kate and William chose a backdrop that looks like a universal portrait studio setting. And the sweet simplicity sent a message to fans that the couple works to give their children a normal and happy upbringing.

Prince William – Wants ‘Just Like Us’ Vibe

And based on how fans reacted, William and Kate succeeded. For instance, one royal family follower pointed out that the setting gives “JC Penny” vibes. As a result, fans felt that William and Kate seem “just like us!!!!”

And the Princess and Prince of Wales, both 41, hope that the world recognizes their desire to relate to their royal family fans. But the couple also devotes themselves to giving their three children a normal childhood. 

And a palace insider shared, “Those children look pretty happy with life. A lot of it is the stabilizing normality Kate brings,” noted the source. “And that’s how she grew up. William absolutely loves it.”

But Kate comes “from a different background” than William. And “she appreciates the importance of having family time,” said another insider. “She wasn’t brought up in that aristocratic setting where you see the children for a short time each day.”

Prince George Loves A Good Joke

And photographer Josh Shinner, who took the Christmas card pic, called it “such a pleasure to photograph the Prince and Princess of Wales and their family for the Christmas portrait this year. Without doubt one of the most relaxed and enjoyable sittings I’ve ever had,” he added.

And the photographer revealed that George, Charlotte and Louis love to make jokes. As a result, Josh now possesses “a whole new set of jokes that are right on my level thanks to the children.”

But William and Kate take care to control details and photos of their children. And when they can, they keep them out of the spotlight. However, Kate also strives to stay involved in her children’s lives. 

For instance, Princess Kate drives the children to school. And when possible, she or William stay home in the evenings. From enjoying pizza to playing outside, Kate feels happiest when “I’m with my family outside in the countryside, and we’re all filthy dirty.”

And an insider shared that Prince William and Princess Kate “consciously set out to achieve a sense of normality. Royal families over the generations haven’t had the chance to get those foundations right,” noted the source. “But they have.”
