Prince William And Kate Middleton’s Secret Private Home In Scotland

Prince William And Kate MiddletonBritish Royal family news reveals the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have a third home that’s so extremely private that there are rumors that the picture of the house does not exist anywhere. Creepy right? But it’s private and the couple love it!

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Private Property at Balmoral Castle

The Queen’s grand Balmoral estate in Scotland is often used by different members of the royal family all year round, especially around summertime.

Located in Aberdeenshire, the monarch’s holiday home is usually used by Prince William, Kate and their children Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 6, and Prince Louis, 3, for vacations and during the holiday season.

When They Do Visit The Estate, The Cambridges Have The Option Of Staying In Their Very Private Third Home.

The home – called Tam-Na-Ghar cottage – was given to Prince William as a gift from his great-grandmother the Queen Mother shortly before her death in 2002.

Tam-Na-Ghar cottage contains three bedrooms and sits on the 50,000-acre Balmoral estate and is said to be ultra-private.

Per a report by Hello!, Prince William and Kate have stayed at the cottage since their college days as students in St. Andrews University. It has been said that they told old friends that some of their happiest times were spent there.

Vanity Fair reported in 2019 that a royal insider was confident the couple stayed at the cottage at the time: “The Queen has a lot of guests coming and to ease the pressure the Cambridges are likely to stay at the cottage. That could have added benefits for everyone as it means more space in the castle.”

There are 150 buildings in total on the Balmoral estate, including the main house Balmoral Castle – and Birkhall, which is owned by Prince Charles.

Prince William And Kate To Spend More Time In Their Scottish Home In The Future

It is expected that William and Kate Middleton will be using their Scottish home – as well as their Norfolk bolthole Anmer Hall – more often in the future. Per a statement by a royal expert, the couple will likely be limiting their travels to destinations closer to home as they prepare for their future roles.

Royal author Katie Nicholl shared that the couple’s approach to family holidays will be closer to home, but still filled with fun outdoor activities.

She explained to OK!: “Summer holidays at Anmer are the perfect way for Kate and William to decompress. If there are royal engagements for them, they’ll be few and far between.”

“While in the past we’ve seen the couple enjoy more lavish holidays skiing or visiting sunnier climates, they’ve been adopting a more traditional royal approach and spending their time at royal residences in the UK instead.”

“This could obviously be the result of Covid travel restrictions but I also believe that Kate and William are transforming into the future King and Queen and therefore are adopting more traditional practices.”
