Prince William And Prince George Watch Three Lions Team Lose Euros 2024

British royal family news shows that On Sunday Prince George and Prince William had a wonderful father-son bonding experience as they took in the Euros 2024 final with England playing Spain.

Unfortunately, their team, the Three Lions, lost to Spain at Olympiastadion in Berlin. Fans delighted in the sight of mini-me George as he excitedly mimicked his dad’s expressions.

At one point the father and son looked heartbroken as they stared at the pitch, their heads in their hands.

Their outing came the same day that Princess Catherine, her daughter Charlotte, and her sister Pippa attended the men’s finals match at Wimbledon. Afterward Kate awarded the trophy to the champion.

Prior to George and William’s dejection, they were thrilled to see their team’s heroics as they sat next to PM Keir Starmer as reported by the Daily Mail. At one point Prince William hugged Prince George, who looked filled with joy.

The duo’s happiness was short-lived as Spain scored minutes later, securing the Euros 2024 victory.

William And George Happy To Attend Euros 24 Together

William posted this message on the official Kensington Palace account after the final whistle: “This time it just wasn’t meant to be. We’re all still so proud of you. Onwards @England. W.”

Although their team lost, George and William were the real winners of the day in fans’ eyes. One posters commented “I don’t know what it is about William & his family but I just love em, his passion for the game, Katherine coming to Wimbledon today, it’s a great day for the WALES Family” and another chimed in “Totally agree, they are just what this country needs to restore our faith not only that England has a future but we have our own culture and beliefs.”

Prior to the national anthem the royal father-and-son pair sat expectantly in the stands with “Prince George straightening his tie moments before William did the same.”

William and George made time to take a photo with King Felipe and Princess Sofia, who were on hand to cheer on the Spanish team.

Before the game William sent the Three Lions team an encouraging message on X saying that he was proud of the athletes: “We are so proud of you all England, just one last push to finish the job! Go out there and show the world what you’re made of. We believe. W.”

Before the final game King Charles and Queen Camilla congratulated the team for reaching the finals with this post: “My wife and I join all our family in wishing you the warmest congratulations on reaching the final of the U.E.F.A. European Championship – and in sending our very best wishes for Sunday’s match.”
