Prince William and Prince Harry Are World’s Away in the Way They Handle the Press

As Prince Harry continues to battle it out with the Home Office and Mail On Sunday, Prince William, on the other hand, is trying to use the media to promote his charitable efforts.

While the brothers grew up with shared experiences, it’s quite clear that Prince William has made peace with the media, even though he continues to shield his children from it.

Prince William officially entered a new decade of his life on Tuesday. While he thanked his fans for their kind words, he, nevertheless, did not release a portrait to mark the milestone.

As Prince William continues to navigate royal life – with the British throne looming ahead – he’s met with the full force of anti-monarchists and Commonwealth countries choosing to become republic.

While he ignores some blockades in his path, encourages others and tries to live through things he can’t control, he has made it clear time and time again that he’s here to serve. In recent years, he’s shifting his attention to issues that’ll make better the lives of thousands.

Prince William’s Work Is Commendable

His work on mental health is commendable and his mission to clean up the earth’s natural environment has been lauded. But perhaps, his most impressive, and perhaps toughest, mission to date is to try and reduce homelessness in the UK. How he plans to go global with this could depend on the success of the project in his country.

“A decade ago, he was just as furious as Harry was with the media. But, unlike his brother, he wanted to work things through, particularly when it came to ring-fencing his children,” a friend explained.

“He did that in a level-headed and conciliatory way as he understands more than anyone the interest in them as a family. Once that was in place, he was much better equipped to cope with the levels of interest. It’s why many think Harry and Meghan just didn’t give it enough time [to work through].”

Harry’s currently suing the Mail On Sunday for causing him “substantial hurt, embarrassment and distress”. This is coming after his wife Meghan won a lawsuit against Associated Papers for leaking a sympathetic letter she wrote to her estranged father.
