Prince William Is Prepared To Make A Lot Of Changes As King

It looks like things are going to change pretty quickly the moment he takes the throne. Of course, we are talking about Prince William.

During a new interview on Apple TV’s The Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy, the Prince of Wales talked about how the monarchy is going to look different the moment that he becomes the next king of England.

Prince William Is Prepared To Make A Lot Of Changes As King

Apparently, Prince William is going to rule much differently than his father King Charles does now.

In his interview with Eugene Levy, the Prince of Wales started things off by saying, “I think it’s safe to say that change is on my agenda. Change for good. And I embrace that and I enjoy that change — I don’t fear it.”

“That’s the bit that excites me, the idea of being able to bring some change. Not overly radical change, but changes that I think need to happen.”

However, Prince William did add that he doesn’t wake up every morning and think about the day that he’s going to rule the monarchy. Instead, he’s just taking things one step at a time.

But he did also add that he’s very cognizant of how he can end up suffocated by the past with his future role.

Prince William put it this way, “If you’re not careful, history can be a real weight and an anchor around you, and you can feel suffocated by it and restricted by it too much. And I think it’s important to live, for the here and now. I want to question things more.”

“I think it’s very important that tradition stays, and tradition has a huge part in all of this, but there’s also points where you look at tradition and go, ‘Is that still fit for purpose today? Is that still the right thing to do? Are we still doing and having the most impact we could be having?’ So, I like to question what I’m really getting at.”

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any additional comments about the matter just yet.
