Let’s just say that he knows that he should tone it down a notch or two. There’s a new report that suggests Prince William is well aware of how emotionally-charged he sometimes comes across in public and that’s why he’s trying to look more “sensitive” now.

In fact, the future king of England even said that he’s still trying to understand his emotions, even though he’s dealing with a lot of turbulence behind closed doors.

During an interview with BBC Radio 1, the Prince of Wales opened up about his own struggles while also talking about mental health and suicide prevention.

In his interview, Prince William says that more men should open up about their mental health and that we need more role models in that regard.

He said, ““I take a long time trying to understand my emotions and why I feel like I do, and I feel like that’s a really important process to do every now and again. Just check in with yourself and work out why you’re feeling like you do – sometimes there’s an obvious explanation, sometimes there isn’t.”

If that weren’t enough, Prince William also added, “Suicide prevention is something I’ve found myself getting more involved in and wanting to talk about, but trying to find the language to talk about it has been quite tricky. I think it’s a real national catastrophe that we don’t talk about it enough.”

What’s Next For Prince William?

For a lot of royal fans and critics alike, they believe that Prince William is definitely taking a step in the right direction by talking about something that he was never really comfortable talking about in the past.

Not only that, but it makes him look more like a sensitive royal who is in touch with his feelings, which is something that King Charles or even Queen Elizabeth before him would never do. Clearly, Prince William is looking to take the royals in a new direction when it comes to talking about mental health.

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter, although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said. Watch this space for more.
