Maybe he could have used better wording with this? Prince William apparently made the oddest comment about the royal family and their work load. That’s because he told people that he never wants to be an “ornamental patron” if that even makes sense.
Prince William Just Made The Oddest Comment About The Royal Family’s Work
During one of his most recent engagements, the Prince of Wales said that he basically wants to be more than just another royal who shows up to his patrons and does a little PR work in front of the cameras.
Instead, he wants to be all in. He doesn’t want to be another royal that just does the bare minimum, if that makes sense.
The future king of England recently even put it this way, “Many of you have been here many more years than that and it’s an amazing moment to think, in 20 years, how much has changed and been achieved by all of you.”
He added, “The Centrepoint family is one I am very proud to be a part of and I can’t thank you all enough for the hard work, every day, you give to help other people. It’s fantastic, and that massive cake signifies the love, generosity and time you all give to helping others, so make sure you take a piece.”
Of course, royalists online had a lot to say about the matter.

Some even wrote on social media, “He doesn’t want to do any work. You only want to come out when you feel like it. Would like to spend most of your time vacationing, watching football matches, shagging mistresses and tormenting your brother and his wife.”
Another critic wrote, “Two visits a year isn’t focusing on anything. Posting reels on social media (omg their social media person LOVES reels) isn’t the same as visiting an organization. Putting on a fake “I’m listening” face isn’t the same as actually trying to help people.”
So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter just yet. In the meantime, drop us a line with your thoughts in our comments section below.
