Prince William & Kate Middleton’s Family Wears Jeans, Recycled Clothes In Holiday Photo

In case you missed it, the British Royal Family released a series of official photos for the holidays, one for each family. There’s one of Prince Charles and wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall sweetly looking at each other while seated on a bench outside Clarence House. Prince Harry and Meghan chose a never-before-seen picture from their wedding reception at Frogmore House. It’s a black-and-white photo of the couple while watching their wedding fireworks, their backs to the camera.

But the real scene-stealer for this year’s Christmas cards is Prince William and Kate Middleton’s picture. It shows the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with their three children: Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 3, and eight-month-old Prince Louis. The family of five are seen posing on the grounds of their home in Anmer Hall, Norfolk.

Unlike last year’s formal photo, Prince William and Kate Middleton opted for a more casual look this year. Too casual, in fact, as it’s the first time for the public to see the whole family dressed in jeans and boots. Prince William and Kate are seen sitting on a tree trunk while their two older kids, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, lean on their parents while balancing on the trunk. Kate endearingly cuddles the baby Prince Louis on her lap.

Apart from wearing jeans, eagle-eyed fans noted that more than one family member is wearing a recycled piece of clothing. Princess Charlotte can be seen wearing a blue sweater, the same one she previously wore in her birthday photo last May. Interestingly, it’s a hand-me-down sweater and originally belonged to her older brother. Cosmo unearthed a photo of Prince George wearing the same cardigan while posing with Queen Elizabeth II for her 90th birthday back in 2016.

Kate Middleton also seems to be wearing a recycled top. The mom-of-three is known for her penchant for re-wearing clothes and fans noticed that her grey cardigan looks very similar to the one she wore for their 2015 Christmas card.

Because of their jeans and recycled outfits, the Cambridges’ holiday photo is deemed to be the most relatable picture that the royal family has released this year. The family is expected to join other members of the royal family in Sandringham for Christmas.

Oh! Heaven’s sake. Did “Auntie Meggie” style poor Charlotte’s hair? It is a MESS! What happened? Messy buns are now in vogue for 3 year olds?
