Prince William & Kate’s Christmas Card Revealed A Family Grown Closer and More United Than Ever

British royal family news reveals that today the Prince and Princess of Wales released their annual Christmas card and the result is a charming affirmation of love, life, and hope for the new year.

Here is what one body language expert reveals about the touching card which has come at the end of “brutal year for the entire royal family.

Body language expert Judi James said that Kate and William’s Christmas card shows that the Wales’ are “growing even closer as a family.”

The family photo was taken in Norfolk with Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six along side their parents. The photo is a still from the video Kate released in September, declaring she was now cancer free.

The card appeared online just hours after the Daily Mail reported that the Waleses would not attend today’s traditional Royal Family pre-Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace.

Commenters were taken with the card with one noting it as a “Wonderful natural photograph of a loving family” and another saying “Catherine’s message is simple: she loves her family.”

James said that “Their poses have been relatable to all parents of a young family and they are all aimed at the camera to wish their good tidings to every recipient.”

She believes that the choice to remember Kate chemotherapy announcement shows an “emotionally complex” state of mind and represents “a very personal message to the public.”

Royal Family News – Body Language Experts Breaks Down Kate’s Christmas Card

She went to explain that the family positioning “seems to have been decided naturally rather than the rather formally posed line-ups of the past. There is almost no age definition here or pecking order, either. William and Kate sit with their children like their children. Support and protection signals look almost mutual.”

James stated that “The way Charlotte has sat in the middle with her arms thrown out round both her brother’s and her mother’s neck suggests a desire to keep both of them as close as possible and to protect both of them, too.”

Her behavior is no doubt influenced by her mother’s protective stance which James describes as a “mother hen, with one arm round her two eldest children and the other reaching out to Louis.”
