Their marriage has been blessed with three beautiful children and one day they will reign as king and queen. It’s true that a little rain must fall in every garden, and equally true that when the sun comes out afterward, happy surprises await.
Such is the case with the Wales family after a harrowing 2024 filled with drama, trauma, and change. Here’s what to know about how William and Catherine are faring after her cancer battle.
Princess Catherine Beat Cancer
The couple have been in the spotlight since their dating days at St. Andrew’s University. Experts note that the young parents are even closer after getting thorough the last year, “toughest year of their lives together.”
A source told Closer that “William has been incredibly supportive through Kate’s cancer. He’s really proven himself to be a remarkable partner when the going gets tough.” The two are also incredible parents to Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis who they just treated to a delightful tropical getaway.

Kate herself summed up the family’s new perspective in a video health update last year, saying that the events of 2024 reminded her and William “ and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved.”
The insider added that the Prince and Princess of Wales view their past ordeal as providing them with a “second chance.”

As such, William has been focused on “making the most of their time and this second chance at life together.” This includes making time for holidays and “more romantic dinners, more long walks.”
The family apparently are planning their summer vacation already and are expected to go to Cornwall and the Isle of Scilly as they do annually. But William also wants to have a romantic getaway, maybe to the Seychelles, the site of their honeymoon.

I believe there was always a strong relationship and this just made it stronger. Illnesses in a family can either break you or make you strong as steel and I have the later in my relationship with my own marriage. I can see it in William and Catherine’s marriage. They’ve always been a lovely couple and will continue to be an asset for the Royal family and raising 3 amazing children. I wish them nothing but the best.
