So much for keeping it all in the family, right? Seeing how Kate Middleton’s parents Carole and Michael Middleton are having a lot of trouble paying their bills because of their massive debt they’ve acquired after their Party Pieces company had gone bust, some people can’t help but wonder why the royal family haven’t stepped in to help them.
In fact, many people are pointing their fingers at Prince William, seeing how he once said that Carole and Michael have felt like his own second set of parents. They were indeed that close. Here’s what you need to know.
Prince William – Refusing To Pay Off Carole Middleton’s Debts
Carole and Michael Middleton are drowning in debt and unfortunately, there’s no one around to save them.
Unfortunately, the King of England, King Charles, wants nothing to do with them and it seems like Prince William has been keeping his distance from the Middletons as well.
In fact, the Prince of Wales has not been seen or photographed with his wife’s family in a very long time.
Some royal fans and critics alike have even had this to say about the matter, “I think it says a LOT that neither son-in-law, both worth millions, stepped forward to pay off the debts. 2.6 million isn’t that much for William with Cornwall money to just make this go away,” along with, “Didn’t William buy them the house that they are living in? Clearing the debt would save him the embarrassment of being associated with it, so it is very telling that he hasn’t.”
What’s Next For The Middletons?
Another critic wrote, “This is a William or James Matthews problem. Charles should be excluded from this narrative. I don’t know many in-laws who would pay off the debts that the other in laws created.
Even if Charles is the king, he shouldn’t be expected to dig them out of this hole, especially when the Middletons used their royal adjacency to scam these people in the first place. The fact that William let them twist in the wind is more telling.”
So far both Carole and Michael Middleton have not made any comments about the matter.

I would say that both Kare and Pippa Middeton have their own money to bail out their parents if they wished. Doesn’t need to depend on sons-in-law !
I wouldn’t pay it off either. If ur that dumb to put urself in debt that far u can pull urself out of it on ur own
I don’t feel it is totally correct for Prince William’s to pay his in-laws debt!! They have helped them before!!

I don’t know who came up with the idea that William should pay off their debt. You don’t help deadbeats. If you do they’ll just keep coming back for more. Whoever started this go away let Prince William alone.
Not William’s problem, nor Catherine’s. Most of what is written in this article is written by someone who doesn’t like the Middleton.
Princess Kate has her own money, I read sometime ago she has more than William. Helping your parents out if you can is not so much to ask. You shouldn’t pay out the debt in full but helping them with a good portion would be decent. If it were my parents and I was in the position to aid them I certainly would.

The Middleton’s debt is not Williams problem. Pippa’s & husband are just as financially set. Why are they only looking at the Wales.? They got themselves into this situation they can get themselves out.
