Prince William Ridiculed Over Latest Move To End Homelessness

Prince William is hopeful that homelessness is something that can be overcome, but some fans think he may just be the biggest hypocrite we’ve seen in ages.

Why? Well, for one thing he’s got castles that’s got like a hundred rooms, along with vast property and ground space, so why is he preaching on homelessness? The debate is still ongoing, but forgive me to say that Prince William is winning on all counts.

Royal Fans Argue Over Prince William’s Right To Launch Latest Project

Prince William is pressing onwards with his vision of a UK without one homeless person. In his bid to turn this dream into reality, he has launched Homewards, and he’s now ready to drop a documentary that follows him on the first year of the initiative, which aims to tackle all forms of homelessness.

“I think it’s really important that we can try and change, and tackle, the narrative around homelessness,” he said during the short teaser for the documentary.

When asked why he’s passionate about this particular issue, he replied, “I think it’s really important that we can try and change, and tackle, the narrative around homelessness. People live with it, we see it every day in our lives, that’s something I want to challenge.”

While many commended him for the mission, the anti-monarchy group Republic took to social media to blast the documentary.

The organisation wrote: “The monarchy costs us half a billion a year. They lounge around in lavish palaces. But don’t worry, William is going to lecture us about how he’s going to ‘end homelessness’. #NotMyKing #AbolishTheMonarchy.”

Some social media users shared the sentiment, agreeing that the “family has a vast number of properties” they could choose to share with the poor.

Royal Fans Come To Prince William’s Aide After Republicans Bash Him Online

Luckily, Prince William was not without defenders. One fan responded to the post, writing, “Lies! The monarchy doesn’t cost us half a billion a year at all! We actually make a profit from the Royal Family – as we get more in revenue from the Crown Estate than is required to fund it! If you don’t like our system – you don’t have to stay in it – feel free to leave!”

Another decided to provide more details, “You need to do some research. Publicly available. The Royal Family cost each taxpayer just under a pound per year. The Royal Family bring in about £1.4billion annually for the economy. If you have an idea on how to get that return for 99p please enlighten us all.”
