That’s because he thinks that artificial intelligence can help prevent homelessness in the future. But here’s the thing: it would need to access private personal records. A lot of critics can’t help but wonder if this is even a good idea.

Apparently, Prince William thinks that it would be best for AI to analyze banking records to make sure that an individual is on path before losing their home, if that makes any sense.

The future king of England even put it this way, “I’m not sure you realise how much that data can ⁠be used to predict and see problems with potential homelessness before they arise. Prevention is better than a cure.”

Of course, royalists certainly did have a lot to say about the matter on social media. Some even commented with, “Start with William’s records. Let’s see what they predict. William can be exhibit A.”

Prince William Wants To Stop Homelessness From Happening

Another critic wrote, “Came here to say the same. This whole scheme is such a privacy disaster. And zero information about how all of this spying and snooping can address homelessness.”

And then there was this comment as well: “Does he really think people have no idea when they’re at the edge of financial disaster, that one day they open a banking app and say oh! I’m broke? It’s about jobs and affordable food and housing and childcare, not some paternalistic Big Brother breathing down your neck.”

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the criticism received, although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said.
