According to Newsweek, “It is not known for sure exactly how she sustained her injuries, though they are thought to be consistent with a blow from a horse’s leg or head.”

Princess Anne, the only sister of King Charles, is an Olympic-medal winning equestrian, and her daughter Zara Tindall followed in her footsteps.
King Charles has been told of his sister’s condition and wished her a “speedy recovery.” Anne’s husband Sir Tim Laurence accompanied Anne to the hospital. He, their daughter Zara and her husband Mike Tindall were on the estate at the time of the incident.
The Palace statement issued Monday read: “The Princess Royal has sustained minor injuries and concussion following an incident on the Gatcombe Park estate yesterday evening.
Her Royal Highness remains in Southmead Hospital, Bristol, as a precautionary measure for observation and is expected to make a full and swift recovery.”

In January the Princess of Wales underwent a planned abdominal surgery, after which test results showed the presence of cancer. She has been undergoing preventative chemotherapy since February and was seen publicly for the first time this year at last weekend’s Trooping the Colour.
