British royal family news shows that Prince Harry has frosted out much of his family with the alleged exception of disgraced Prince Andrew’s daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
On May 8 Harry celebrated the 10-year anniversary of the Invictus Games in London all by his lonesome. His wife Meghan Markle couldn’t, or wouldn’t, accompany him and not one royal—senior or otherwise—supported him at St. Paul’s Cathedral for the Service of Thanksgiving.
The absence of Beatrice and Eugenie was surprising, especially since the latter is the only royal known to have visited the traitors at their Montecito, California McMansion. What’s up with the blatant snubs? Here’s what to know about why the York sisters failed to show up for Harry.
Royal Family News – The York Sisters Snubbed Harry
It could be that the York sisters were too tired to attend Harry’s big day. According to Marie Claire, Beatrice was in New York City on Monday, May 6 and Eugenie is half in, half out between the U.K. and Portugal.
But the truth is allegedly much spicier than mere impractical logistics. King Charles mandated that working royals attend his garden party at Buckingham Palace at the same time, and two miles away, from Harry’s event.
Beatrice and Eugenie aren’t working royals but there’s been chatter about the regent allowing the two to have a role in his monarchy, something they are said to be eager for.
In light of this, OK reports that “the York sisters wouldn’t attend Harry’s Invictus Games event without the King’s permission.”
The outlet stated that “the sisters didn’t want to send out a divisive message by attending.” Backing up this assertion, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told GB News that Beatrice and Eugenie would associate with Harry at the expense of snubbing the royal family.
Royal Family News – Who Can Harry Count On?
Fitzwilliams believes that although the sisters did not show up for Harry, Beatrice and Eugenie still have close relationships with the Nigerian Prince.
While the royals left Harry to his own devices on May 8, the Spencer side of his family were in attendance, Earl Charles Spencer and Lady Jane Fellowes. They are siblings of Harry’s late mother Diana, and body language expert Judi James chimed in on the family get-together.
She said that Harry was in his element: “His cheeks are rounded, his face red and shiny, and his eye-smile involves crinkling to signal authentic pleasure and affection.” Who else thinks that the next family bonding session is a meet-up with his Nigerian in-laws?
