Princess Beatrice Is Prepping For Her Newest Role: Stepmum

Princess Beatrice has a very exciting year ahead of her! Not only did she announce her engagement to her new fiancé, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, but it also looks like she will be taking on a brand new role in her life, too. That’s because after she marries Edoardo she is going to be a stepmother (or a stepmum if you are across the pond!) to his adorable son Christopher. Before Edoardo began his relationship with Princess Beatrice, he was in a relationship with his ex, Dara Huang, who is also the mother of his child.

Princess Beatrice Royal News: All About Her Future With Edo

Even though Princess Beatrice has no parenting experience (nor has she said anything about wanting to be a mother in the near future), there are reports that already suggest Princess Beatrice and Christopher get along very well. As a matter of fact, some sources close to the young royal say that she is gearing up to be a great stepmum to her fiance’s son.

According to People Magazine, little Christopher is very much a part of Beatrice’s life. She has even embraced the child as part of her life from the outset. Apparently, Edo and Dara are already doing a great job of co-parenting their child. Even though Edo is based in London full-time, Dara and Christopher split their time between the U.K. and Hong Kong.

The source also added: “Edo is easily one of the best dads, he is so involved, and Beatrice is already showing that she’s a fantastic step-mummy. They’ve been on family vacations together [with his son]. They are really happy.”

So far Princess Beatrice herself has not made any comments about Edo’s son or about their engagement either. However, there’s a very good chance that the little boy might make an appearance at their royal wedding alongside Prince George and Princess Charlotte, should Beatrice and Edo decide on having a big wedding party at their ceremony. If so, it’s without a doubt that little Christopher will be in great company with the other young royals!

As of press time Princess Beatrice and Edoardo have not set a date for their wedding, however, reports indicate that they plan on tying the knot sometime in 2020.
