According to reports, Princess Beatrice is engaged to her boyfriend, Italian property tycoon Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. Prince Andrew, the Duke of York and Sarah Ferguson made the announcement to the press on Thursday, September 26th. The couple got engaged earlier this month but are just now sharing the news with their fans.

Princess Beatrice, who is ninth in line to the throne, is expected to marry Edoardo in 2020. The couple released a statement that said, “We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together,” the pair said in a statement. We share so many similar interests and values, and we know that this will stand us in great stead for the years ahead, full of love and happiness.”

Royal News – The Duke And Duchess of York Release Their Statement

Meanwhile, the Duke and Duchess of York also released their own statement that said, “We are thrilled that Beatrice and Edoardo have got engaged, having watched their relationship develop with pride. We are the lucky parents of a wonderful daughter who has found her love and companion in a completely devoted friend and loyal young man. We send them every good wish for a wonderful family future.”

Edoardo’s parents, Nikki Williams-Ellis and Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi said that they are “truly delighted” by the announcement and that their family has known Beatrice for most of their lives. They also said that they look forward to the wedding, as Edoardo and Beatrice have an “incredibly strong and united bond.”
