Buckingham Palace Confirms Reception Cancelation

Edoardo and Beatrice’s wedding has gone through a lot of changes even before the COVID-19 crisis. Now, Buckingham Palace has confirmed the reception has been canceled. It was planned to be in the gardens and Queen Elizabeth canceled all garden parties due to the pandemic.

Coronavirus Too Risky For Big Event

According to Hello! Magazine, the royal couple is forced to think about whether their wedding can really happen. The big day was set for May, and it is doubtful coronavirus will be contained by then. Edoardo’s family is in Italy and they have been hit the hardest by the infection. Not only that, but it would also be too risky to have a big event in light of the pandemic. This is especially true for older guests, who are at an increased risk of complications and death.

Now, the Church of England has announced weddings are being restricted to 5 people total: the minister officiating the wedding, the bride, groom, and 2 wedding guests.
