Kate has stepped down from public royal duties since that time. Her full return date has not been announced. Kate’s absence comes at a historic time, with King Charles also sidelined due to undergoing prostate cancer treatment.
The reigning champion Carlos Alcaraz played a three set match today against sporting legend Novak Djokovic.
Before handing the impressive trophy to Alcaraz, Kate shook Djokovic’s hand and they shared a few words.

Royal Family News: Kate Middleton Awards Men’s Wimbledon Trophy
It was announced last week that Kate would present the trophy, and as expected she was greeted with a standing ovation as she walked into the Royal Box at Wimbledon. The recovering princess wore a beautiful purple, £1295 dress from Safiyaa.
As the female trio watched on, Alcarez and Djokovic battled in a heroic rematch of last year’s championship. Pippa was dressed in a colorful floral print dress and Charlotte looked summer chic in a blue frock with white polka dots.
Before Kate and Charlotte sat in their seats in the Royal Box, they met several female tennis stars (who all presented Kate with a bouquet of flowers) including Emma Radacanu.

Charlotte grinned happily when she met the female tennis sensation, and she gave wheelchair tennis player Lucy Shuker a “pinky promise.”
Kate told US Open winner Raducanu, who exited in the fourth round of Wimbledon: “It was so hard to see you go out.”
Raducanu said it was “amazing” to have Kate’s support and to “see her here looking so healthy and happy.”
Additionally the mother and daughter met the “Work at Wimbledon” crew which supports youth from a variety of backgrounds with roles at the Championships.
