The Princess of Wales today revealed that her preventative chemotherapy has been completed. Kate announced to the world in March that she was undergoing treatment after a cancer diagnosis in February. According to the future queen, she will now start a “light program” of official royal duties.
Princess Catherine is Cancer-Free
Catherine stated that her current goal is to remain cancer free and she acknowledged that the last nine months were “scary and unpredictable” for her and her family.
Her three-minute video shows her, Prince William, and their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, in Norfolk. It was shot in August and in it Catherine states that her experience has led her and Prince William to “reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted.”

The video shows the family of five enjoying time together on the beach and in the woods. At one point William and Catherine share a moment cuddled on a blanket and even engage in a kiss.
The Daily Mail reports that King Charles and Queen Camilla are gladdened by the happy news and “will continue to offer all love, thoughts and support to The Princess on her continued path to full recovery.”

In her message the princess says: “As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment. The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.”

How will Kate spend the rest of 2024? She states that she is “looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can.”
She concluded her by reaching out to cancer patients and their families: “To all those who are continuing their own cancer journey – I remain with you, side by side, hand in hand. Out of darkness, can come light, so let that light shine bright.”
