Princess Eugenie And Jack Brooksbank Postpone Baby August’s Christening

Princess Eugenie and husband Jack Brooksbank were supposed to be celebrating their 5-month-old son August this weekend at a church in Windsor, but it seems they’ll have to wait a little while longer for their boy’s christening ceremony. Like many other events that the coronavirus pandemic has disrupted, the festivities would sadly be one of them.

While we wait for August’s christening, we can take a look at the pictures of baby August that the royal mom has seen fit to share.

Princess Eugenie And Jack Brooksbank Forced To Reschedule Baby August’s Christening

Eugenie and her husband Jack officially became parents when their son arrived on February 9. August Philip Hawke Brooksbank became Queen Elizabeth’s ninth great-grandchild and his middle name honored the Queen’s long-time husband Prince Philip, who passed away in April at the age of 99.

Though August Philip was set to be baptized at All Saints Chapel in Windsor Great Park, Saturday, July 10, the couple were forced to cancel the event after they received news that one of their expected guests entered self-isolation amid the coronavirus pandemic, per a report by PEOPLE.

While it remains unclear whether the guest tested positive for COVID-19 or merely came in contact with someone who later had a positive result, the new parents are deciding to play it safe.

The event would have been attended by no more than 30 close relatives and friends, including her parents

Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, as per the rules for social gatherings amid the pandemic.

Since August’s arrival, the first time mom has been celebrating her parenthood, sharing pictures of baby August as she celebrated her first Mother’s Day as a mother, and giving fans a peek at him during their late spring stroll. Eugenie recently took August to see a display of wooden elephants – including one which shared August’s name – in Green Park. She has also taken him around the splendid garden around her Windsor home.

“Our hearts are full of love for this little human,” she previously wrote, “words can’t express.”

The couple are yet to publicly announce any rescheduled date for the ceremony.
