Earlier reports have indicated that both Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles’ ex-husband Andrew Parker-Bowles had tested positive for the virus and now it appears as though Princess Eugenie’s father-in-law is in the hospital in critical condition after testing positive for coronavirus as well. British Royal Family Coronavirus Update: Princess Eugenie’s Father-in-Law George Brooksbank In Stable Condition After Contracted COVID-19

According to new reports, Princess Eugenie’s father-in-law George Brooksbank and her mother-in-law Nicola Brooksbank have both tested positive for COVID-19. While Nicola is still self-isolating at home while in recovery from the virus, it’s been said that George needs to be rushed to the hospital for urgent care. He has been in the hospital for several days but has also been ill for several weeks as well.

Even though Princess Eugenie has not made any comments about her father-in-law just yet, reports say that the entire British royal family is taking extra precautions as the virus continues to spread. In fact, some reports even hint that the UK is nowhere near its apex of the virus. As of press time, there have been over 1.2 million confirmed cases in over 150 countries, with over 252,000 recoveries and 65,711 deaths. That number is expected to rise. In the United States, there have been 311,658 confirmed cases with 8,492 deaths so far.

Queen Elizabeth, meanwhile, has addressed the UK in a televised speech. She noted that the citizens of the United Kingdom are now living in increasingly challenging times, as the virus has brought disruption in everyone’s daily lives. She also thanked everyone for staying home and practicing social distancing in an effort to help stop the spread of the virus.

The Queen said, “I also want to thank those of you who are staying at home, thereby protecting to help the vulnerable and sparing many families the pain already felt by those who have lost loved ones. Together we are tackling this disease and I want to reassure you that if we remain united in resolute then we will overcome it.”
