Princess Kate’s Kids Are Doting On Her, And Prince William Is Doing The Cooking as She Recovers

British royal family news shows that Princess Kate Middleton is recovering at home following an abdominal surgery in January.

Her convalescence is expected to last until Easter, at which time she will resume royal duties. Kate’s surgery was “planned” and not cancer-related, according to Kensington Palace.

In the meantime the Princess of Wales is in good hands, with her three children reportedly taking very good care of their beloved mom.

The exact nature of her surgery and recuperation is not known but she was released from the hospital on January 29 after a two week stay. After her operation Kensington Palace announced that Kate would rest until after Easter.

That doesn’t mean that the princess isn’t working however, with a source telling Us Weekly that she is “working from her bed.” Kate is “eager to get back to work” and planning ahead for future engagements.

Royal Family News – Princess Kate Is Working From Home

A royal source told OK! Magazine that all three of her children, 10-year-old Prince George, 8-year-old Princess Charlotte, and 5-year-old Prince Louis, have been doting on their mother.

The source stated “They’re all going overboard to make sure she feels comfortable. Their house is filled with Kate’s favorite flowers, comfy blankets and pillows, and her go-to snacks. The family is just incredibly happy to have her back home at Adelaide Cottage.”

Recovering from surgery is a challenge and the source shared that the mom of three that “doesn’t have the heart to turn them away” when the kids want her attention.

Royal Family News – Kate Middleton’s Abdominal Surgery

The source told the outlet that her children are helping mom to recover by “telling Kate stories, bringing tea and making her soup. Charlotte even arranged a spa day.”

Prince William attended the BAFTAS last weekend without Kate, and he is shouldering a double dose of royal duties while King Charles receives cancer treatment.

That doesn’t mean he doesn’t have time to tend to Kate including doing a spot of cooking: “He’s quite good at it too. He’s whipping up oatmeal and smoothies and roast chicken. He even made Kate’s favorite curry. William has a new appreciation for everything that Kate does.”

For now the public will receive “updates on Her Royal Highness’ progress when there is significant new information to share” but the palace stated that she is “making good progress.”
