You can try and bring her down as much as possible, but Queen Camilla’s always going to find herself on top in one way or another.
After all, she did manage to become the new Queen of England when everyone else thought it would be impossible.
Of course, we are talking about Camilla Parker Bowles as it seems like she’s going to have the last laugh thanks to Netflix’s The Crown series. Here’s what you need to know.
Royal Family News – Queen Camilla Gets The Last Laugh
According to a new report, The Crown will end with Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles’ wedding in 2005.
Peter Morgan, the show’s creator and writer, thinks that the wedding is a great way to end the series, even though there are some fans out there who still want to see Prince William and Kate Middleton’s 2011 royal wedding and of course, the arrival of Meghan Markle in 2016.
One source close to the situation told The Telegraph, “People are always asking Peter (Morgan, the show’s creator and writer) if he’s going to write a sequel. He doesn’t need to because those last five or six episodes bring you right up to the present day. You’re actually watching this rehabilitated Queen Camilla figure.”
With that said, the new season of The Crown will actually be split in two parts. There will be Princess Diana’s death in 1997 and all the events that happened soon after that moment and of course, Camilla’s own campaign to rehabilitate her image.
There will also be scenes with Queen Elizabeth and Camilla. As many royal fans can remember, it took the Queen of England many long years before she even met her son’s mistress, as she had previously refused to even be in the same room as her.
The Crown Will End With Charles And Camilla’s Wedding
Now, whether or not The Crown will be worth watching remains to be seen. So far there have been a lot of complaints about poor dialogue and less than tasteful scenes that include Princess Diana’s death.
