Queen Camilla Hits Back At ‘Unmaternal’ And ‘Phony’ Meghan Markle

Let’s just say that her feelings about the matter certainly have not changed. There’s a new report that suggests Queen Camilla took a swipe at Meghan Markle, but without saying anything, though.

That’s because she wrote a letter to bestselling author Emily Griffin, who happens to be one of Meghan Markle’s biggest critics.

In the letter, Queen Camilla thanked Griffin for sending her a copy of her new book and said that she can’t wait to read it in peace during her next trip to Scotland.

However, a lot of people can’t help but side-eye the move because this is the same Emily Griffin that called the Duchess of Sussex both “unmaternal” and a “phony” back in 2020.

And it seems like Queen Camilla might feel the same. Even though both she and King Charles had tried to welcome Meghan Markle into the royal family with open arms, it just never worked.

And as much as Queen Camilla did try to guide Meghan during those first crucial months in the royal family, the Duchess of Sussex did things her way, anyway. And that’s what left Camilla with such a sour taste in her mouth.

Queen Camilla Is No Fan Of The Duchess Of Sussex

One source close to the situation even put it this way, “Post Oprah interview, Netflix documentary, ‘Spare’ and numerous interviews, Meghan has been labeled ‘that minx’ and ‘ungrateful’ by Camilla who was suspicious from the get-go of Meghan’s motives.”

“Many say they actually never enjoyed a close relationship. The suspicion is Camilla had been finding it tough to believe Meghan would sacrifice her ‘career and independence’ to serve silently behind her man as a team player devoted to the monarchy.”

So far Queen Camilla herself has not made any comments about the matter although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said.

After all, the last thing that the Queen of England wants to do is start a bitter war of words between her and an estranged member of the royal family who is probably never going to visit her in the UK ever again.

So far Meghan Markle herself has not made any comments about the criticism she’s received, although at this point it’s doubtful that she will say anything at all. Watch this space.
