Queen Camilla Is Stepping Back From Her Royal Duties

Queen Camilla has decided to take a step back from her royal duties. Even though the royal family is operating with only minimal members right now due to King Charles’ cancer diagnosis and Kate Middleton still in recovery mode because of her abdominal surgery.

The Queen of England has decided to take a one week break from her royal engagements and her public appearances. And of course, this has gotten royal fans very concerned. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

Royal Family News – Queen Camilla Is Stepping Back From Her Royal Duties

According to the Daily Beast, Camila has decided that she’s going to stay out of the spotlight for the next week as she continues to spend time with her husband, King Charles, and her own family, behind closed palace doors.

The Queen of England is expected to resume her engagements though by March 11, as the entire royal family will be on hand for the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey. 

Until that happens though, Camilla will be “jetting off on a private flight…for a sunshine break overseas.” There’s no word though if King Charles will also be getting off with her during that same holiday break, too.

Royal Family News – What’s Next For The Queen Of England?

As many royal fans are probably aware of by now, Queen Camilla has taken on 13 official engagements ever since King Charles announced his cancer diagnosis back in late January.

She was also there for the memorial service of King Constantine of Greece – even though Prince William was supposed to be there with her, he skipped out on the service at the very last minute.

One source close to the situation has also said, “Camilla was the last key royal standing last week, sparking some concerns of who is in charge during a time when so many key royals are out of the picture.”

So far Buckingham Palace has made no additional comments about the matter.
