Apparently, the Queen of England has made a new commitment to buy no new fur products. But a lot of people don’t understand why she’s making the decision now, seeing how she spent the last several decades wearing fur. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
Royal Family News – Queen Camilla Vows To Never Wear Fur Again
According to the BBC, “People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (Peta) received a letter from Buckingham Palace, saying the Queen “will not procure any new fur garments.”
The letter also said, “This comes with the Queen’s warmest wishes.”
As many people already know, Peta, which says real fur is cruel and unnecessary, said it would be “toasting Queen Camilla with a glass of the finest claret.”
And of course, the internet sure did have a lot to say about the matter. Some commented on social media with, “Took her long enough. Only saying this now because she’s Queen and jn the public eye more. She’s 76.

How many dead animals has she worn already?” alongwith, “About 20 years too late, and she’s no queen to the British people. Diana would have been, not that shrivelled old prune! Also, please stop using the Royal Family as role models for animal welfare when they hunt and shoot animals for fun.”
Royal Family News – What’s Next For Queen Camilla?
Another critic wrote, “So much hate – this is a GOOD thing. Yeah it sucks that she and other rich people were buying it for all this time, but it sets a precedent that will be followed by others which is a massive win. At least they are trying to keep up with the rest of us by finally being progressive.”
So far Queen Camilla herself has not made any additional comments about the matter.
