British royal family news shows that 95-year old monarch Queen Elizabeth has cancelled a slew of engagements following several mystery ailments, a hospital stay late last year, and contracting Covid last month. As might be expected, social media is on fire with conspiracy theories about her health, and unfortunately, her “death.”
There is no reason to believe that the queen has already died—is there? When she fell ill last fall, the news of her overnight hospital stay was leaked, forcing Buckingham Palace to reveal the truth. Up to that point they apparently planned on never disclosing the situation.
Royal Family News – Is The Queen Alive?
Given last year’s hospital-gate coverup, how should one receive the endless allegations now circulating that the queen has died and her death is being kept a secret?
Take for instance the TikTok account of matta_of_factAmanda. She posted a screen shot of a rumor basically saying that a Chinese factory has received a huge order for the British flag with the queen’s face superimposed on it. The not so subtle message is that Her Majesty is dead.
matta_of_factAmanda isn’t having it: “ENOUGH ALREADY!!! #queenelizabeth #elizabethii #royals #royalfamily.”
When Will The Queen Be Seen Again?
And yet, the speculation is not surprising, given the palace’s practice of secrecy about the royals’ health, the queen’s age, and her recent cancellations. As the Daily Mail notes, “Fears were growing among courtiers last night that the Queen may be forced to pull out of the thanksgiving service for Prince Philip at the end of the month.”
“It comes after Buckingham Palace announced she was not fit enough to attend tomorrow’s Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey.”

Royal Family News – How Is The Queen Doing?
The outlet goes on to note, “While the Queen ‘still hopes’ to attend Philip’s service, which will be held at the abbey on March 29, she may not be mobile enough to do so.”
Apparently she refuses to appear in public in a wheelchair, and she has been too frail to walk her beloved corgis for the last six months. She has been seen in recent outings with a cane.
Elizabeth’s husband died last April at the age of 99. He was to have been given a huge celebration when he turned 100 in June, but he did not live to see the occasion. Now there are very real fears that the queen will not live to enjoy her Platinum Jubilee in June, the same month she turns 96.
